    Lumi Yoga is a Yoga & Wellness Event Planning Business based in Kingston, Ontario.

    Lumi Yoga’s mission is to promote wellness and elevate consciousness through movement, mindfulness and community. We believe rest, self care and connection are essential to individual and collective health. To further this mission, we offer:

    • group and private yoga classes for studios, organizations and individuals;
    • wellness retreats; and
    • event planning for the wellness space.

  • Janet Song / 송루미 (Song Lumi)

    FOUNDER | YOGA INSTRUCTOR

    Janet Song is a yoga instructor and wellness entrepreneur based in Kingston, Ontario. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years and began her teaching journey in 2013 at Hot Yoga Wellness International.

    Janet is also a lawyer and was formerly a litigator at a top firm in Toronto. Having experienced firsthand the transformative power of yoga to manage a busy lifestyle, Janet founded Lumi Yoga to share the gift of yoga on a wider scale.

    Janet teaches weekly yoga classes at several local studios, including The Yoga Loft (West End), Health in Focus (East End), Better Balance Wellness (Downtown) and Surf Shack Yoga (Inner Harbour).

  • What's in a name?


    Janet’s Korean name, 송루미 (Song Lumi), means “crane” (두루미).

    In Korea, cranes symbolize health, longevity and peace.

    “Lumi Yoga” reflects the aims of yoga and honours Janet’s Korean heritage.

Services

Studio classes (starting at $50/hour)
Book Janet to teach a class at your yoga studio or fitness facility. Recurring classes and substitutions are available. Janet currently instructs at multiple locations in Kingston. She has experience teaching adults and seniors. Janet specializes in Vinyasa, Hatha and Power Yoga. Her calm, confident and compassionate approach promotes a peaceful and positive experience for students.


Private classes (starting at $90/hour)
Work with Janet one-on-one. Private classes are suitable for students with specific needs or conditions, those who are striving to achieve personalized goals, or those who prefer to practice outside of a group setting. Private classes are held virtually or in-person. Discounts for multi-private sessions are available.


Corporate and special event classes (starting at $25/person, min. 4)
Curate a unique experience centered on wellness. Book a yoga class for your corporate wellness week, team building event, birthday, wedding, bachelorette party, ladies’ night, family reunion and more. Group discounts are available. Give your team or loved ones the gift of calm.

Fundraising classes (sliding scale)
Cultivate community and raise funds for your registered charity through a group yoga class. Your supporters will feel refreshed and fulfilled after engaging in movement and mindfulness in support of a worthy cause. Contact us to plan your next fundraiser.

Retreats

Fall 2025 Retreat

Lumi Yoga has partnered with licensed mental health professionals to offer a Wellness Retreat in Fall 2025. The retreat will be designed for those seeking to process stress, burnout and grief through yoga, forest bathing, mindfulness practices and somatic exercises.
